It is decomposed by heating, and the crystal water is gradually removed to become anhydrous magnesium sulfate. It is mainly used in the manufacture of fertilizers, tanning, printing and dyeing, catalysts, paper-making, plastics, porcelain, pigments, matches, explosives and fireproof materials.
